A while ago, I wrote about the Moral Machine– an experiment in which we had to make hypothetical decisions: Who should an autonomous car spare – the passengers or the pedestrians? A difficult question that shows how complex moral decisions can be.
Now I’ve come across another experiment: Last Haven. This one isn’t about cars, but about how we treat our living space. Imagine we had the power to decide: Should a piece of land be used as a residential complex for many people – or preserved as a nature reserve for endangered species?
As you know, environmental protection and animals are very important to me. That’s why I find this experiment incredibly exciting. Just like the Moral Machine, it’s not about right or wrong, not about a judgment, but about a mirror: What is more important to me personally?

I also find the final result particularly interesting. You see not only your own decisions, but also how others have decided. Am I more in line with the same approach – or completely different? Some might prefer to build homes, while others clearly opt for protecting nature and animals. It’s precisely this comparison that makes the experiment so exciting for me.

Dear friends, I hope you’re all doing well. Today, I’d like to share a truly fascinating topic with you: moral decisions – and how artificial intelligence is expected to make them.
What does it actually mean to make a morally correct decision? I first encountered this topic during my studies. My lecturer at the time was a philosopher, and we talked and debated a lot about right and wrong – about what is ethically acceptable and what isn’t. But that’s not exactly the focus today.
Right now, I’m taking a really interesting media training course on LinkedIn called „AI and Digital Marketing Trends“. The main focus is artificial intelligence – a truly captivating topic! During the course, a website called „Moral Machine“ was mentioned, and I became instantly curious. 👀
One of the main topics on the site is autonomous driving, which is no longer science fiction. Self-driving cars already exist – for example, from BMW or Audi – although still at exorbitant prices. 😉
On the site (https://www.moralmachine.net/), you can explore various dilemmas and decide for yourself: What would happen if you had to make that choice? Should the pedestrians or the passengers in the car be injured or even killed?
Each scenario comes with an explanation: what would happen if the car kept going and ran over the pedestrians – or if it swerved and the passengers died by crashing through a barrier to save those on the street. It’s a profound moral dilemma – and it raises the ultimate question: What is right, and what is wrong? In that moment, you’re almost playing the role of fate.
The great thing is: at the end, you receive an evaluation, which is quite insightful – a kind of feedback on your personal character. I really recommend checking out the site. You can even create your own scenarios with different outcomes. It’s not only educational, but also surprisingly entertaining.

At the end, you even get another short evaluation – personal feedback based on your decisions in the scenarios. I find that pretty exciting!

Ich liebe Musik einfach. Das ist einfach Fakt! 🙂 irgendwie bin ich mal wieder ein wirklich altes Lied gekommen, dass ich sehr gemocht hab und irgendwie immer noch mag. Man kann wirklich gut mitsingen. (Ich erspare euch das lieber. Ich hab wirklich kein Talent zum singen habe. 😇 🙈) Die Spice Girls und ihr “Wannabe“ Hit ist wahrscheinlich auch ein Evergreen Song.
Ich hab einen Lieblingssong und um ehrlich zu sein dieser Song sorgt für ordentlich gute Laune und ich meine derzeit haben wir nichts mehr nötig als gute Laune ein kleines Lächeln und alles was eben dazugehört. 😊
Wie das so mit neuen Lieblingssongs ist hört man die ein paar mal die ganze Zeit in Dauerschleife und irgendwie hört man gar nicht mehr auf. Und komischerweise nach ein paar Monaten hört man wieder mal gerne rein, weil man ja weiß dass dieser Song doch ziemlich cool war

ich habe wieder mal eine Art Dauersong… auch wenn dieser Song schon ein bisschen älter ist, höre ich den Song ziemlich gerne.
„Einmal“ von Mark Foster. Ein Lied das wiedermal daran erinnert, dass manches nie mehr zurückkommt und nicht für die Ewigkeit ist. Es bleiben uns doch immer die Erinnerungen zwischen Freude, Trauer, Liebe und Wahnsinn. Wir sollten uns doch immer an die glückliche, großartige Momente voller unbändiger Freude und Liebe erfreuen und damit auch wieder ein kleines bis großes Lächeln zurück bekommen. Einfach nur mit der kleinen Erinnerung an damals. Natürlich gibt es auf der anderen Seite auch Momente, die traurig oder fast wahnsinnig gemacht haben.
Aber heißt es nicht „After a Hurricane comes a Rainbow🌈!“😊
Auch grade jetzt in dieser schwierigen Zeit von Corona, sollten wir niemals aufhören an die guten und glücklichen Momente zurückzudenken und auf bessere Zeiten zu hoffen. Das Leben geht weiter. 😊
Wir sollten uns glücklich schätzen, dass es uns doch einfach gut geht. Wir haben ein Dach über dem Kopf, sauberes Trinkwasser, ausreichend zu essen und einfach diese großartige Chance, dass wir alle kostenlos eine Schule besuchen dürfen. Wir sollten niemals vergessen, dass es viele Kinder auf dieser Erde gibt, die nicht dieses Privileg haben.
Sorry ich weiß, ich bin ein bisschen abgeschweift, trotzdem finde ich diesen Punkt wichtig.
